Story of My First Viral Post

It was May 2020.

We were in a pandemic.
Universities switched online.
Hence, an online exam.

Ours was a mock-test. That time, only Multiple Choice Questions.

Surprisingly, questions were given but with no options.

Hilarious, I know.

Students across the entire state started making fun of this. Made memes. Tweets. What a buzz it was!

Meantime, I got my “yet another” writing prompt like all 100 of posts I already wrote on Instagram.

However, this prompt was different. I was frustrated actually. Wrote a long thread on whatever I felt about the education system. Tagged higher officials like education ministers and principals. And hit the post button.

I knew nothing would happen.

Until I woke up the next morning with 700+ shares and 100+ saves on Instagram. Realised how other students felt the same.

In fact, nothing really happened after that as well. But I understood the significance of raising my voice, where I needed to, and the power of social media.

What’s your first viral post story?
