I procrastinated (for 365+ days) organizing my virtual data until I found this book

“Uh oh, there are 4 slides and multiple unwanted apps on my phone… um, I’ll organize it this weekend,” I whispered in my head when I bought my new phone last year this time.

The weekend passed. No “organized” updates.

“Yikes! I missed decluttering my phone, it’s Diwali, let me do it after it gets over.”

The week went by. No “organized” updates. Again.

December.
Then, 2024 arrived.
February, then March.
April, May, June, July, August…

Firstly written on my LinkedIn!

And it went up till last month as I glanced upon this book on my FREE Kindle library (you know if you’re a prime member and an avid reader).

Nearly 100-page book. What a gem & full of actionable research-based book it is!

I read more than half of the book and was convinced enough to grab a physical copy to keep in my collection.

Last weekend I was reading about ‘organizing virtual data’.

Took my time of an hour or so and wrapped up everything. And boy, the level of optimized I feel of myself!

(I procrastinated for 365 days )

This book is inspiring me to think about my days, weeks, months & quarter very minutely for 20 minutes every day (as the name suggests).

I wrote a post about how I naturally went to 2h/month of Instagram screen time a few months back.

It was a similar time I happened to read this book and currently it convinced me to get off Instagram & I don’t give a damn about it. I barely open 5 minutes (a month) or say it’s not there anymore.

I hope that in 2025, we find value in how we spend our time and that it brings happiness to the things that truly matter to us.

And this book! Highly recommended.

How often do you organize your virtual data?

Yes, that whiteboard is also a great investment for remote workers like me :D
