Engineering was just an excuse!
“Why did you choose Power Electronics Engineering?” asked our professor.
“To become a national level badminton player.” I replied while the entire class laughed in our first class of engineering.
Funny but true.
I chose my engineering college because it had a badminton court.
No other academic reasons.
Only one reason: I wanted to become a hardcore badminton player, and there was a chance of me representing myself in the nationals.
From my 1st year itself, I started taking writing gigs because I wanted to fund my badminton expenses all by myself.
No other writing reasons.
Pandemic happened, and my dreams changed.
Kept badminton as a hobby (more like a daily prayer for me).
The only thing I continued as something long-term was writing.
And I’m building a writing empire while making a living from social media marketing.
Happy Engineers Day ✌️
